What Our Reviews Keep Saying in Derry, NH

September 12, 2026 — Breathe CrossFIt

We have a 5-star rating from 142 Google reviews, which is nice, but a number doesn’t tell you much. What’s more useful is reading them back to back and noticing that people keep saying the same four things. Here they are, in members’ own words.

“Beginner-friendly” is the first thing people mention

One member wrote in a Google review: “Trying a new gym—especially something like CrossFit—can be really intimidating, but at Breathe from day one, the atmosphere is welcoming and genuinely beginner-friendly, which makes it so much easier to get started without feeling overwhelmed. For newbies they work with you one on one to start to give you a chance to get comfortable, understand the structure, and build confidence before jumping into group classes.”

That’s an accurate description of how we run it. Nobody gets dropped into a class and told to figure it out.

The community is what they credit

Another review: “From the owners to the coaches and members, everyone is incredibly friendly, supportive, and welcoming. The atmosphere is so positive and motivating - it makes you actually look forward to working out! As a busy mom of two, it has become such an important and rewarding outlet for me.”

And from a longer-term member: “The community is hands down the best part. No one acts like they’re better than anyone els…” (that one got cut off by Google, not by us).

It holds up past the honeymoon phase

This is the review we’re proudest of, because the member deliberately waited to write it: “After over two years as a member, I feel like I can finally give an honest review of Breathe. A lot of places seem great at the beginning, but once the ‘new’ wears off you start to notice the little quirks. That’s why I waited. And honestly? The gym has only gotten better. The owners truly care and take pride in helping members become better versions of themselves — inside and outside the gym. They’re always looking for ways to improve and actually listen to suggestions from members, which says a lot.”

There’s a version of this that fits where you are

One member wrote: “Coaches are amazing. Safe and welcoming environment for all skills levels. Personally, I’ve trained for general health, basic combat training and then pregnancy… There is truly something for everyone to do at whatever stage of life you’re in!”

Another: “Toni, Eli, and the team do such an incredible job creating thoughtful, creative programming that truly supports families — not just individual athletes… Recently attending one of their hosted mom groups was such a joy.”

What to make of it

Reviews catch people on a good day, so read them for patterns rather than promises. The pattern here is that people who were nervous walking in stayed, and the ones who stayed longest have the most to say.

What’s actually on offer is straightforward: coach-led 60-minute CrossFit classes of 5 to 15 people, one-on-one personal training, and nutrition coaching, Monday through Friday, 5:00am to 7:00pm. You can read more on our about page or see options on pricing.

September is a good month to start — the summer schedule is over and it’s still light enough to want to leave the house. Book a No Sweat Intro and we’ll sit down, talk about what you’re after, and go from there.
