BCF/ Brookford Farms CSA Partnership

Hey all!

We are excited to announce that we are working on setting up a CSA partnership with Brookford Farms! For those of you who may not know what a CSA partnership is, it would allow us to become a drop off/ pick up point for Brookford Farms and those who wish to do share buying of their meats, produce and dairy. We need a minimum amount of people who are interested in participating to become a Partner Distributor so if this is something that interests you please let us know ASAP!!! BCF Buddy Passes available for a limited time!!!!

Hey everyone!

For a LIMITED time only we will be offering BCF Buddy Passes. You can purchase a Buddy Pass for $20 for a friend or family member and let them experience CrossFit for more than just one drop in! The Buddy Pass is good for 1 week of unlimited classes! 

We will only be selling 15 Buddy Passes (limit one per person) and they must be used during the month of July so hurry up and get one before we sell out!

 

Commit to CrossFit Summer Challenge

Starting July 1st we will be running a "Commit to CrossFit" summer challenge that will run for 8 weeks. For every week that you attend at least 3 Classes you will get a raffle ticket with your name on it entered into the drawing. At the end of the 8 weeks we will draw the winner. The winner will receive 1 Month FREE!!! It is simple guys...all you have to do is SHOW UP and CHECK IN!!!

New Stability Clinic Series at BCF!

We are excited to announce the start of a new Stability Clinic series which will focus on stability and strengthening of the Core, Shoulders and Hips. Beth Swanson, PT DPT, from Chester Therapy Associates will be leading the clinics on select Thursday evenings at 730p, beginning Thursday June 26th. If you wish to attend, please be sure to sign up at the front desk. The cost will be $15 for any session you choose to attend.

Session Descriptions:

Thursday, June 26th:

Core:  Learn to use your abdominals and back muscles to protect your spine and make you more efficient and stable at the same time.

Thursday, July 10th & July 24th:

Hips:  Find out how to prep your legs and pelvis for power and control.

Thursday, August 7th & August 21st:

Shoulders:  Improve your form and control to reduce shoulder pain without having to avoid overhead workouts.

The Wason Pond Pounder

We wanted to pass along some info for the Wason Pond Pounder that will be taking place on May 31st! BCF Performance Team

Hey guys!

We will be having an info meeting for anyone interested in joining the BCF Performance Team for the 2014-2015 Season on Monday March 24 from 730 to 830pm. This meeting is MANDATORY if you wish to participate. If for some reason you cannot attend please let one of the coaches know! We will be going over A LOT of important information and changes so please be there!

A big congratulations to all who participated in this Nutrition Challenge you all did an amazing job!   Now, for the results everyone has been waiting for........

1st Place Winner - Brandon Wells with a loss of 3.25% body weight, 9.5 inches and 5.6% loss of body fat!

2nd Place- Marni Ring with a loss of 4.86% body weight, 8.5 inches and 3.7% loss of body fat!

3rd Place- Renee Clavette with a loss of 2.42% body weight, 9 inches and 4.25% loss of body fat!

Crossfit Games Open and schedule of classes

Hey all,

The Open begins this week (!!!!!) and will continue over the next five weeks. Due to the amount of people at the gym that we have participating in the Open, we will be blocking off time for those who are participating to do the workouts and have judges available to them. Due to the time slots we had to set aside, we will not be having Daily class on Friday at 7:15 or Sunday morning at 9:30 for the next five weeks. If you would like to come and watch any of the participants do the Open workouts we would (and we are sure they would as well) LOVE to have you come and cheer them on! The time slots are listed below and will be the same for the next five weeks:

Friday- 9:30a to 11a AND 7p to 9p

Saturday- 12p to 2p

Sunday- 9:30a to 12p

If you are participating in the Open, please make sure that you have signed up for a time slot prior to Thursday each week! 

We are so excited for everyone that is participating!!!!!

Also, tonight, Monday February 24 from 7 to 830pm, we will be having an info and movements standards session to go over how the Open workouts will be judged. We will also use this to provide those of you who have not participated before a time to ask questions and make sure that you understand how the judges will be scoring, when the workouts can be done, and how the next 5 weeks will run, etc. 

Please try to attend tonight if at all possible! We understand it is short notice but we will be going over a lot of important info.
